RemarksThis orange nudibranch(Pacific Thecacera) is well-known as the "Pikachu Nudi" after the Japanese cartoon character, which has a similar orange-and-black colour scheme. Two long appendages adjacent to gill branches; black to dark blue tips on rhinophores, appendages and tip of tail; black stripes on gill branches. Pacific Thecacera feeds on arborescent (tree-like) bryozoans which form small clumps on current-swept sand slopes at depths over 20 metres, giving photographers a frustrating time.
